Tips and Tricks from my Skinny friends. – Work it Wed.

My dear skinny friends have lots of tips and tricks to keep themselves thin.  I got ‘em to share a few with me.

This first tip is how one friend is teaching her son to get the nutrition he needs.  The rule is you don’t eat the bread until your about half way through your dinner.  The thinking behind the rule is that the bread is simple carbohydrates and your body will burn it quickly, this way you haven’t filled up on bread before you’ve had nourishing food.  This way she knows her son at least got some veggies and lean protein in his system.

Eat with smaller utensils so it lasts longer.  It literally takes you longer to eat something if you can’t grab very much of it.

This tip is more of a weight loss strategy, have a diet shake 20 minutes before you eat with the family for dinner.  You’ll be so full of diet drink you won’t eat much of the dinner and since diet shakes have all the vitamins and minerals added in, you’re only missing out on the fiber.

My last tip actually came from a model who was being interviewed a while back, I don’t even remember who she was, but she said she always has desert for breakfast, that way she could pass up on all the goodies, because she already had some.
